Suppliers of premium quality green, purple & white asparagus.
We are a family business growing 3.5 hectares of asparagus in Greenpark, near the townships of Tai Tapu and Lincoln approximately 25 minutes from Christchurch. We operate a NZ Gap Approved Packing Shed.
Our asparagus are premium cultivars. The green is the very tasty Pacific 2000 cultivar, marketed as Pacific Crown. The purple is the super sweet Pacific Purple cultivar.
Our specialty product is white asparagus. This is comes from growing the green and purple cultivars in total darkness. The result is a less fibrous, but very sweet tasting, crunchier, treat. Unlike the white asparagus grown underground overseas, ours is grown in the air, and therefore does not need peeling. We won't be producing any white asparagus this season.
Our season (depending on the weather & soil temperatures) runs from approximately the 1st week of October until Christmas. However with less frosts this year, we have some asparagus available from 23rd September.
STAFF VACANCIES: We will not be needing any additional staff this year.News
